Dr. Daniel Schwarz (second from right) of Cornell University was the featured speaker at this week’s Westview Writers Festival held at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Shown with Schwarz are (from left): Dr. Jill Jones, chair of the SWOSU Language and Literature Department; Dr. Helen Maxson, a former student of Schwarz at Cornell and organizer for the event; and Dr. James Silver, English professor and editor of Westview. A large crowd attended the festival, and Schwarz also lectured in various classes at SWOSU.
