It is historically known that breast cancer is one of the oldest diseases known to mankind dating back to ancient Egypt. The disease has affected women for centuries, with 1 in 8 women being diagnosed in their lifetime in the United States. Nallely Ibarra will address what breast cancer is, how this cancer develops, and what types of medicine and technology are used to treat it.
