ASTP PRIME CREWS: The two prime crews of the joint U.S.-USSR Apollo Soyuz Test Project mission scheduled for this July include: standing, Astronaut Thomas P. Stafford, left, commander of the American crew; and Cosmonaut Aleksey A. Leonov, right, commander of the Soviet crew; and seated, left to right, Astronaut Donald K. Slayton, docking module pilot; Astronaut Vance D. Brand, command module pilot, both on the American crew; and Cosmonaut Valeriy Kubasov, engineer on the Soviet crew.
