KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. – A split frame shows the Apollo Soyuz Test Project astronauts Donald Slayton (left), Thomas Stafford (center), and Vance Brand with the launch vehicle for their mission. The astronauts were at KSC today for the rollout of the Saturn 1B rocket and Apollo spacecraft from the Vehicle Assembly Building at Complex 39’s Pad B. The ASTP launch is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. on July 15. The joint US-USSR space mission will be history’s first international manned space flight.
