ASTP NEWS CONFERENCE – Cosmonaut Vladimir A. Shatalov (center), Chief of Cosmonaut Training for the USSR, answers questions at an Apollo-Soyuz Test Project press conference conducted on September 11, 1974 in building 2 at the Johnson Space Center. Astronaut Thomas P. Stafford (left), commander of the American ASTP crew, took part in the conference, also. Interpreter Anatole Forostenko is on the right. Shatalov accompanied a group of Soviet Cosmonauts to the U. S. for three weeks of joint crew training at JSC.
