KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. – The Command Module for the Apollo Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) goes through check out prior to mating to the Saturn 1B launch vehicle. This joint mission with the USSR is scheduled for launch July 15, 1975. Astronauts Stafford, Brand, and Slayton are the U. S. crew. The Russian cosmonauts are Leonov and Kubasov.
