ASTP CDDT VENTING – Liquid oxygen is vented from the fueled ASTP Saturn 1B launch vehicle (Saturn #210) during the Countdown Demonstration Test (CDDT). The test represents a step-by-step dress rehearsal for the July 15 launch of Apollo. The test was culminated by a simulated “T minus zero and launch.” Vehicle fuels were then offloaded and the terminal portion of the count was repeated the following day with the crewmen participating aboard the Apollo command module (Spacecraft 111).
