Jerry Fischer (left) of Hobart recently presented a $500 check to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford to be used for scholarships. Accepting for SWOSU is Dr. Gary Bell. Fischer recently received the “Mold Designer of the Year 2005” Award from the Mold Making and Mold Design Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers. The award included a $500 check, and Fischer decided to give the $500 to SWOSU where Dr. Bell serves as chair of the Technology Department in the School of Business and Technology. At one time, Bell was shop teacher in the Hobart Public Schools and taught Fischer’s sons. Fischer started Tools and Troubleshooting, Inc., in Hobart in 1975 and recently turned the business over to one of his sons.
