Artist Dr. Ken Watson recently donated a picture to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford in honor of 1959 SWOSU graduate Mary Rose Sarchet. Sarchet, who was senior editor of the yearbook during her years at SWOSU passed away in September, 2009. She was a former student of Watson, who taught at SWOSU and now lives in Norman. With the painting are SWOSU President (left) John Hays and Sarchet's husband, Lew. The painting is placed in the SWOSU Administration Building Conference Room where several of Watson's paintings are currently hanging.
