Description
Southwestern Oklahoma State University students and employees enjoyed conducting the 2nd annual SWOSU Toy Drive which resulted in 58 new bikes, $2,000 in coats/gloves/hats, 19 tablets, around $7,000 in toys, and many food items for the Weatherford Middle School Pantry. Santa was at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on December 15 to hand out the goodies to “at need” students from Burcham Elementary, East Elementary, West Elementary and Weatherford Middle School. The bikes were given to Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Clinton and any remaining items were given to the Multi-County Youth Services in Clinton. Several companies—Flex-Chem, Solstice Tanning Company, Wal-Mart as well as private donors—made large contributions to the successful drive.
