The 3rd annual Chemical Dependency Seminar was recently hosted by the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy’s Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society on the Weatherford campus. Dr. Merrill Norton (center) of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy presented “Opioid Use Disorders and Their Treatments.” Norton’s specialty areas include psychopharmacology and addiction pharmacy. Students, faculty and staff from across the campus were invited to attend this event, which was sponsored by Oklahoma Pharmacists Helping Pharmacists. Serving as co-chairs of the event were SWOSU students (left) Emma Leffler of Arlington (TX) and Sarah Johnston of Moore.
