Description
Southwestern Oklahoma State University was recently recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for its civic engagement work in a voter registration drive through the OK Campus Compact. SWOSU and East Central University tied for first place in the competition among higher educational institutions with FTE enrollment between 3,001-7,000 students. Pictured with Chancellor Glen D. Johnson (second from left) and Oklahoma State Regents Chair Dr. Ron White (far right) are Jordan Selman (left), coordinator of student activities, and Collegiate Activities Board member and SWOSU student Katie Warnick of Woodward. SWOSU was honored at the December 7 OSRHE meeting in Oklahoma City. With 20 institutions participating in the contest, 2,077 students were registered to vote in Oklahoma.
