Gemini and Agena target vehicle are prepared for docking in earthbound checkouts before the real thing occurs in space in October. National Aeronautics and Space Administration personnel at Cape Kennedy are preparing the two craft for testing in both docked and undocked modes. The Agena will be launched about 90 minutes before the Gemini spacecraft containing two astronauts is show aloft. The astronauts then will attempt to maneuver the Gemini to rendezvous and dock with the Agena.
