CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS: OCTOBER 22th-23th, 2015
5th Anniversary Conference 2015
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 2015 conference of Administrative Issues Journal. We are pleased that you have chosen to join us on the campus grounds of Southwestern Oklahoma State University for AIJ’s 5th Anniversary conference: The Challenge of Change. As Editors of a small, regional, peerreviewed journal, reaching the publication milestone of five years would not have been possible without the continued support of our university administration. In particular, we would like to thank President Randy Beutler and Provost James South for granting us the space to pursue the work of the journal. The vision for Administrative Issues Journal, as it was conceived five years ago, was to provide a platform for the publication and promotion of viable blind-reviewed research for colleges and regional universities throughout the United States. This is still our vision, and your conference is an extension of that work.
The challenges that face us in Higher Education, be it in the area of teaching, publication, or administration are ongoing, and often feel limitless. It is your creative and scholarly response to these challenges that makes the work of colleges and universities so important. The challenges are part of the landscape, but so are the solutions. We have an excellent Key Note speaker in Librarian Jeffery Beall, who will be discussing the inherent issues in the ongoing evolution of scholarly digital publications. The conference sessions, over two days, reflect the multi-disciplinary orientation of Administrative Issues Journal. We look forward to the discussions, conversations and networks that the conference is designed to create.
Welcome to SWOSU.
