Abstract
Tolkien provided evidence to suggest that Galadriel, with her extensive experience and knowledge, is a significant source of lore for the Silmarillion. Galadriel represents several characteristics that Tolkien valued in his historians and lore masters; accordingly, the story of the Silmarillion provides information and narrative perspectives unique to Galadriel. Furthermore, throughout Tolkien's writing of the Silmarillion and especially near the end of his life, he continued to develop and further incorporate Galadriel into his legendarium even when concepts for other historians and loremasters faded.
