Proposal Description

Beatriz Gomez Acuña provides the first presentation focusing on the theoretical aspects of study abroad as a high impact practice. Two of her students, Amena Fathima, and Elizabeth Garcia, present individually on their experiences as participants in a 3-week study abroad class to Spain and Puerto Rico respectively focusing on the benefits they reaped from this experience and the growth they underwent as a result of it.
